Price keeps his unbeaten set record
Price has not dropped a set across his opening two matches. His straight-sets win over Smith follows a 2–0 victory against Sebastian Bialecki in the first round. Clayton also improved on his opening margin, having needed a deciding set to beat Krzysztof Ratajski 2–1 on Monday. Against Nijman, the PDC’s session report records set scores of 3–0, 2–3, 3–1 and 3–1 in legs.
An all-Welsh quarter-final
Price will face Clayton on Friday 2 October, according to the PDC’s confirmed quarter-final fixture. The match remains best of five sets, with the winner moving into the semi-finals. The pairing guarantees a Welsh semi-finalist but means only one of the two can progress. The report will follow that meeting and the remaining Welsh run.
Correction, 30 September 2026: an earlier version said Price and Clayton could not meet before the semi-finals. The PDC’s confirmed fixture pairs them in the quarter-finals on 2 October. The draw-path sentence has been corrected.
