Three bus alternatives from Tuesday
TfW says rail tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on Cardiff Bus routes 24 and 25 and Stagecoach route 132 between Tuesday 29 September and Saturday 3 October. The bus-acceptance dates differ from the stated rail-disruption end date. The latest notice does not confirm bus ticket acceptance for Monday 28 September. Pay-as-you-go rail fares cannot be used on the local buses; those passengers are advised to tap out at the earliest opportunity.
Refunds and compensation
Passengers arriving more than 15 minutes later than scheduled may be eligible for Delay Repay. Anyone who decides not to travel can apply for a fee-free refund on an unused ticket from its seller.
