Match report
Three goals in 25 minutes
Eustaquio opened the scoring in the 11th minute, set up by Opoku’s cross. Opoku added the second in the 32nd, released by Eustaquio’s through ball, and Lissah scored his first senior goal for the club four minutes later from Stephen Welsh’s diagonal pass. Swansea led 3-0 before the half-hour mark had long passed.
Stewart makes it four
Ross Stewart, starting for the first time for the club, scored the fourth in the 59th minute with his weaker left foot after Jisung Eom dummied a ball from Josh Tymon. Tiago Parente made his Swansea debut from the bench and Josh Key returned from a hamstring injury, his first appearance since early September.
Control in the numbers
Swansea had 67 per cent of possession and 20 shots, nine on target and 13 from inside the box. Blackburn managed seven shots and two on target. Opoku was the highest-rated player in the match at 8.79 on the Sportmonks ratings.
A response to QPR
Vitor Matos made three changes from last Saturday’s 5-0 defeat at Queens Park Rangers, with Fulton, Eom and Stewart coming in. His pre-match message on the club site was that Swansea wanted to respond positively. The attendance was 16,867.
